FAQs

Grouping Stage

I am a current Eels Member, what happens next?

At this stage, all Members need to do is familiarise themselves with the transition process. In late February an email will be sent to all Members notifying them that the WSS- Seating Group Form has opened. No need to rush, you will have until 31 March 2018 to complete your form.

How many people can be included in my seating group?

Up to 12 Members can be included in a single seating group.

What if I hold over 12 Memberships under my account? Can my seats still be grouped together?

Members who held over 12 Memberships in their account as at 30 November 2017 will be able to form a WSS Seating Group up to the quantity of Memberships they held under their account on this date.

I hold multiple Memberships under my single account. Do I need to nominate each individual seat/Membership during the Seating Group Process?

Yes. Members holding multiple Memberships or a Family Membership in a single account must nominate each individual seat during the Seating Group Process (Step One). Each individual seat will be counted individually towards the 12 seat limit for Seating Groups.

My Seating Group is made up of different families. Who will be the main point of contact during the seating process?

During the Seating Group Process (Step One), each group will be required to nominate a Group Leader. This person will act as your main point of contact with the Club during the Seating Allocation process. The Group Leader is the only person that can make amendments or requests on behalf of your group.

There are six Members in my seating group. Five of us are Full Season Members and hold Priority 1 Seating Status, and one Member is a 4 Game General Admission Member and holds Priority 2 Seating Status; Can this Member be included in our Priority 1 Seating Group?

Seating Priority Status for group requests will be determined by the lowest priority held by Members of the group.Any Priority 2 Member wishing to allocate seats in the Priority 1 allocation window will need to upgrade their Membership to Priority 1 (a Full Season Ticketed Membership). Upgrades will need to take place prior to 31st March 2018.

The 31 March 2018 deadline has passed and I have not opted into a group during the group stage (Step 1). What do I do?

Members who do not opt into a group during the grouping stage will be treated as single group individuals. Your seats at WSS will be allocated accordingly to your individual priority level.

The 31 March 2018 seating group deadline has passed. I would like to add an extra Member to my group/remove a seat from my group. Is this possible?

Unfortunately not. Members will be asked to form groups prior to 31 March 2018. There will be no opportunity to break or change groups after that date until the seating allocation process has been completed.

Once all Priority 1 and Priority 2 seating allocations have taken place, Members will be given the opportunity to purchase additional remaining seats. We anticipate this process (Step 7) will take place in October/November 2018.

We strongly recommend that any Members wishing to add additional seats to their Membership at WSS purchase a 2018 Membership in the same category as the one they currently to avoid disappointment. Demand for seating in the new WSS will be high.

I purchased my 2018 Membership after the 31 March seating group deadline. When can I allocate my Reserved Seats for Western Sydney Stadium?

2018 Members who purchase Memberships after the 31 March deadline will still be able to allocate Reserved Seats prior to the general public; however, this will take place once all Priority 1 and Priority 2 seating allocations have been completed. We anticipate this process (Step 7) will take place in October/November 2018.

We strongly recommend that any individual wishing to be a Member in 2018, purchase their Memberships and submit a group seating request prior to the 31 March 2018 deadline. This will maximise Members opportunities to allocate into their preferred seating in the new Western Sydney Stadium.

WSS Seating Preference Form

I am a single seat Member and I have not submitted a WSS Seating Preference Form. What happens next?

In cases where a Single Seat Member does not submit a “WSS Seating Preference Form”, the Club will take best efforts to allocate a seat of similar category to that held by the Member in 2018. If unhappy with their seats, Members will have one opportunity to change this sat at ‘Step 5’ of the Seating Allocation Process.

Member Since and Tenure

I think that my “Member Since” date is incorrect. Is “Member Since” date important in the Seating Allocation Process? Can I update this?

The Membership records maintained by the Parramatta Eels Membership Team will be the sole source of determining consecutive Membership for the purposes of setting Seating Priority for WSS. Should a Member believe that their recorded length of consecutive Membership is incorrect, the Club will review any supporting document provided by the Member prior to 31 March 2018 and assess requests on a case by case basis. No appeals to change the length of consecutive Membership will be considered after 31 March 2018. We will be happy to assist with any enquiries you may have relating to your “Member since” date; If you would like to check your Member tenure contact membership@parraeels.com.au.

I first became a Football Club Member in 2017 but have been a Member of the Parramatta Leagues Club (PLC) since 2010. Does my Leagues Club Membership count towards my tenure?

Membership tenure is determined by the number of consecutive years of Football Club Membership only. Leagues Club Membership does not count towards Football Club length of tenure.

I first became a Member in 2016 but did not renew for 2017 and have re-joined for 2018. Does my “Member Since” date remain as 2016 or does it restart at 2018?

Your “Member Since” date would be 2018. Length of Membership is determined by consecutive years of Membership only. Membership tenure for the purposes of determining seating priority will be based on the consecutive length of time of a Member’s current membership.

Stadium

Will I be allocated the same seat that I held at Parramatta Stadium?

The old Parramatta Stadium was demolished to make way for the new Western Sydney Stadium (WSS). WSS is a completely new venue with a different layout and seating configurations to Parramatta Stadium. It will not be possible to replicate your same seated position at the new stadium; however, we are confident that your match day experience will be significantly improved thanks to the state of the art facilities including improved video screens and internal concourse, as well as, the new stadium layout which will position Members closer to the action.

How many Category 1 and Category 2 Reserved Seats will be available at WSS?

It is anticipated that there will be high demand for seating at the new WSS so any Member wanting to secure Category 1 and Category 2 Reserved Seating is strongly recommended to hold a Priority 1 Seating status Membership in 2018 to avoid disappointment. The final capacity of Reserved Seats at WSS is yet to be finalised.

Will our first game in the new Western Sydney Stadium be Round 1 2019?

Western Sydney Stadium is set for completion in April 2019. We will keep Members up to date with information regarding the official construction completion date.

Step 2: Seat Group Confirmation

I am a Full Season General Admission Member. I am considering upgrading to a Reserved Seat in Western Sydney Stadium; however, this will be dependent on price. What should I do?

Any Members considering Reserved Seat Membership in Western Sydney Stadium is recommended to register a Seating Group. In Step 3 (Submitting a Seating Preference Form) the WSS seating map, Membership package range and pricing will be communicated to Seating Group Leaders by email. If a Member Seating Group wishes to General Admission Membership in 2018, they will be able to opt out of the Reserved Seat Allocation at Step 3.

Step 3: Submitting Your Seating Preference Form

I am a Priority 1 Member. Why do I need to submit three Seating Preferences on my Form?

Priority 1 Member Seat Allocations will be prioritised according to the consecutive years of Membership Tenure for the longest serving Member in each Seating Group. In some circumstances, there is a possibility that particular Membership Seating Categories may reach ‘Allocation Exhausted’ prior to the allocation of all Priority 1 Members. All Seating Groups are required to submit three Seat Preferences on their Form, in the event that their first and second preferences reach ‘Allocation Exhausted’ prior to their seats being allocated.

I am a Category 2 Member with seats close to the front on half way at ANZ Stadium. Why are these seats now classified as Category 1 at Western Sydney Stadium?

The configuration and allocation of Membership packages in WSS have been designed based on demand.

Step 4: Priority 1 Member Seat Allocation

Will I be able to go online and select my seats?

To ensure a fair and smooth allocation process, Reserved Seats will be assigned through an automated electronic system. This system will assign Members Best Available Seats in their preferred seating category based on Membership Tenure and Priority Level.

How can I see where my Reserved Seats are located?

Once all Priority 1 Seats have been assigned, the Seating Group Leader will be able to log-in online and view Seats on an ISM Map. As Western Sydney Stadium will still be under construction at this stage, Members will be unable to access the Stadium and view the seats in person.

I do not like the seats I have been assigned. Can I change these seats?

The Seating Group Leader will have a limited time frame to request to change seats if desired. Seating Groups will have ONE opportunity to change their seats. The ability to change seats will be dependent on the remaining seats available at that time. Please be advised, Seating Groups Leaders cannot move individual seats away from their main seating group.

Step 5: Priority 1 Seat Secure Deposit

There were five people in my Seating Group; However, I have decided that I only want to place a deposit on four seats. Is this possible?

Members will be asked to form groups prior to 31 March 2018. As per the Members Transition Guide, there will be no opportunity to break seating groups after that date. Seating Group Leaders will be required to place a deposit on all of their group’s allocated seats by the designated deadline to secure the seats or these will be released to the Priority 2 allocation.

I do not have a credit card. Can I pay for my deposit via cheque, cash or money order?

The Stadium Transition process will be managed via an online system. Unfortunately this means we will be unable to accept payment for the deposit via cheque, cash or money order. For Members that do not own a credit card, we recommend purchasing a prepaid Visa or Mastercard Gift Card. These can be purchased for a nominal fee from Post Offices, Supermarkets and a variety of Service Stations.

I am the Seating Group Leader and have paid the deposit for all seats in my group. Is it possible for me to transfer all seat deposits to pay off my 2019 Membership?

Seat deposits are attached to each seat and will not be transferable. We recommend Seating Group Leaders collect deposits from all of their Seating Group Members prior to making payment for Seat Deposits.

Will I have to pay for my 2019 Membership when I place my seat deposit?

Seating Group Leaders will only be required to pay a $50 deposit per seat during Step 5. Membership renewal information will be sent to Members towards the end of 2018. The $50 deposit will be credited to each individual’s 2019 Membership.

Step 7: Remaining Seats Offered to Existing Members

My friend is not a Member in 2018, but they would like to purchase Reserved Seat Membership next to my seats in WSS. Is this the best time for them to purchase seats?

Following the Members Seating Allocation process, Members who did not request to allocate a seat during the Member Seating Allocation process and Members wishing to purchase additional seats, will have the opportunity to purchase any remaining reserved seats (dependant on availability). Remaining seats will be allocated based on longest continuous membership tenure.

We strongly recommend that any Members wishing to add additional seats to their Membership at WSS, purchase a 2018 Membership in the same category as the one they currently hold to avoid disappointment. Demand for seating in the new WSS will be high.

Payments

When will renewal pricing for WSS be available?

Member renewal pricing and seating maps will be communicated to Seating Group Leaders during Step 2 to allow Members to factor pricing into their seating preference for WSS.

When will New Member pricing for WSS be available?

New Member pricing will be available when New Memberships for 2019 go on sale. It is anticipated that this will take place by the end of 2018.

Will the cost of New Membership in 2019 be the same as the Renewing Member prices?

To thank and reward Members for their continued loyalty and support of the Club, renewing Members will be entitled to significantly discounted prices for their 2019 Memberships compared to New Members joining in 2019.

These discounted renewal prices will be available to all 2018 Members. If you would like to gain access to these discounted prices for Western Sydney Stadium, become a Member in 2018.

Will there be Flexible Membership options available in the new WSS?

Reduced access and flexible ticket options will only be available if capacity allows. The areas designated for these Memberships will be assessed in early 2019, however, due to demand for reserved seating, it is expected that the allocation will be limited to lower category Reserved Seats or General Admission areas.

When will 2019 Membership renewals be sent?

We anticipate renewal notices will be sent by October 2018 with rollover to take place in November 2018. However, this may be subject to change. Seat deposits will be credited towards 2019 Membership fees. Members will be able to pay for their Memberships in full or on our Eels for Life monthly payment plan.

When will corporate options be on sale? What if I decide to upgrade to a corporate hospitality option once they become available? Will I forfeit my $50 seat deposit?

Corporate options at WSS in 2019 are yet to be confirmed. More information on corporate options at WSS will be available by the end of 2018.

If you place a seat deposit on WSS and then decide to upgrade to corporate hospitality, your seat deposit can be credited towards your corporate package.

What if my circumstances change after paying my seat deposit? Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately not. Once Members accept their seating allocation and pay their seating deposit no refunds are payable.

Will there be a Seat resale Program at WSS if I opt for a Reserved Seat Membership?

Yes, there will be a seat resale program at WSS in 2019. The WSS seat resale will be similar to the existing program where, if you are not able to attend one of our home games, you can put your seat up for resale!

More information on the WSS seat resale program will be available in 2018.

Will any seat resale credits I earn in 2018 be credited towards 2019 Memberships in the new stadium?

Yes. This will be credited towards your 2019 Membership. Credits cannot be used as part of your seat deposit.

New Members

I was a Member in 2017 but did not renew my Membership in 2018. Am I considered a ‘New’ or ‘Renewing’ Member?

Renewing Members are individuals who held a Membership in the year prior. In order to be deemed a ‘Renewing Member’ in 2019; you must hold a Membership in 2018. Lapsed Members, who did not renew their Membership in 2018, will be considered ‘New’ Members for WSS allocation and 2019 Membership purposes.

I was a Member from 2010-2016 but did not renew my Membership in 2017 or 2018. When can I purchase a Reserved Seat Membership for Western Sydney Stadium?

All 2018 Members will be given first priority to allocate Reserved Seats into Western Sydney Stadium. If you are not a Parramatta Eels Member in 2018, you will be able to purchase a Reserved Seat once all Member seating allocations have been completed. We anticipate New Memberships (Step 8) will go on sale by the end of 2018.

We strongly recommend that any individual wishing to purchase Reserved Seats at Western Sydney Stadium purchase a 2018 Membership by 31 March 2018 to avoid disappointment. Demand for seating in the new WSS will be high.
